Sweet On You is the latest Smooth Jazz CD put out by the highly talented guitar playing Chieli Minucci who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Chieli Minucci fans, and Smooth Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one.
Chieli Minucci has been a heavy hitter in the Smooth Jazz genre for quite a while now and Sweet On You is an excellent illustration as to why.
Smooth Jazz music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Minucci on several of the tracks. Artists like David Mann and Gerald Albright just to name a couple.
Overall Sweet On You is excellent from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Smooth Jazz fan. Really sensational from beginning to end.
While this entire album is really very good the truly standout tunes are Endless Summer [track 1], Everytime You're Near [track 5], and Around The World [track 8].
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 7, Little Squirt. Great track!
